Pennsylvania high school boys basketball: Meet the state’s best wings for the 2023-24 season

Blazer is a 6-foot-5 senior who can handle the ball and light it up from long range. He averaged 19.4 points per game as a junior while making 42 3-pointers.

Booker is a high-flying athlete with a deadly stroke from beyond the arc. The junior’s college suitors include La Salle, Temple and Virginia Tech. He averaged 23 points per game as a sophomore. 

Byrd led Father Judge in scoring (14.3) and rebounding (5.1) during his junior season. He is one of the best offensive players in the Philadelphia Catholic League and is growing as a defender. 

Crosby netted his 1,000th career point midway through his junior season for Yough. He was a 3A third-team all-state selection last winter. 

Curry is capable of playing every position on the court for Franklin. He averaged 17.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals last winter and received 3A second-team all-state recognition. 

Dye put up 14.6 points, five rebounds and two assists as a junior. He is also a strong defender who averaged nearly one steal per game. 

One of the biggest risers on the recruiting circuit, Forsythe’s offers include Illinois, Penn State and Texas A&M. The New York City native can handle the ball and shoot from distance.

Fromhartz helped lead Downingtown West to a 22-8 overall record last season and the program’s first ever state playoff victory. He put up 16 points, six rebounds and two assists and was voted 6A third-team all-state. 

Guidinger averaged 16.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists as a junior for a Central York team that won 22 games. Coming off a 6A second-team all-state selection, Guidinger is a strong passer and lights-out shooter from beyond the arc. 

A 3A third-team all-state selection as a sophomore, Haigh excels as a 3-point shooter. He averaged 17.5 points — shooting 44.1 percent from long range — five rebounds and 3.5 assists last winter. 

Holloway averaged 14 points, 5.2 rebounds, two assists and one steal as a junior. The swingman will play college basketball for Army. 

A transfer from Archbishop Carroll, Horan will be another key piece in the backcourt for Perkiomen. He holds offers from Akron, Long Island and Old Dominion. 

An athletic 6-foot-6 wing, Jennings will be a go-to player for West Catholic this season. He can knock down shots from long distance, rebound and protect the rim. 

Laster is a 6-foot-5 wing with point guard skills. The senior’s Division I offers include Drexel, La Salle and Rhode Island. 

Riley is a four-star junior whose Division I offers include Arizona, Arkansas and Oregon. He is a strong offensive player who can knock down jump shots and attack the paint. 

Rucker put up 14.5 points per game as a junior. For his efforts, the swingman was voted 5A third-team all-state. 

Sedora can do it all for Red Lion as a 6-foot-5 Swiss Army knife. He put up 18.7 points, seven rebounds and four assists last winter. 

Smith is a versatile permitter player who makes a difference at both ends of the court. He averaged 16.3 points, six rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.4 blocks as a junior. 

Tisinger, who averaged 20.5 points per game as a sophomore, can play anywhere on the perimeter for Greater Johnstown. He recently picked up Division I offers from North Carolina A&T and Saint Francis. 

A Hofstra signee, Williams is a two-way player who excels as an on-ball defender and 3-point shooter. He averaged 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals last winter.
